Etqan International Extends Language Training to Health Caring Staff

Etqan International has expanded its healthcare language training portfolio to include a course designed for general health caring staff — professionals involved in day-to-day patient support, monitoring, and personal care across hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

The course prioritizes clear, simple, and respectful communication: understanding patient needs, following care instructions accurately, reporting changes in patient condition, and interacting with families in a professional and reassuring manner. Unlike more technical clinical courses, this program is built around everyday functional language, making it accessible to staff at varying levels of prior language proficiency.

“Health caring staff are often the constant presence in a patient’s day,” said an Etqan International trainer involved in curriculum design. “Even basic gaps in communication can lead to missed details or patient anxiety — this course is about closing those gaps in practical terms.”

The training is delivered in short, structured modules to accommodate shift-based schedules, with an emphasis on repetition and real-world practice rather than formal classroom instruction.
