Recognizing the critical role nurses play in day-to-day patient interaction, Etqan International has introduced a dedicated language course tailored specifically to nursing staff.
The program emphasizes practical, high-frequency communication: taking patient histories, explaining procedures, providing comfort and reassurance, coordinating with doctors and other departments, and documenting care accurately. Special attention is given to tone and empathy in patient-facing conversations, alongside the technical vocabulary nurses use across wards, emergency units, and outpatient settings.
“Nurses often spend more direct time with patients than any other healthcare professional,” an Etqan International representative noted. “Clear, compassionate communication in this role directly affects patient comfort and safety.”
Course delivery includes role-play exercises modeled on ward rounds, shift handovers, and family communication scenarios, allowing nursing staff to apply language skills in context rather than through abstract classroom learning alone. The initiative is being positioned as a standard offering for hospitals looking to strengthen frontline patient care.
